Chetco Smith River Kayaks has been outfitting paddlers in Brookings, Oregon since 1996. We specialize in tours and rentals across the Smith River — the longest free-flowing river in California — the Chetco River, and the protected coves of the Del Norte and southern Oregon coast.

Owner-guide Carl knows these waters inside out. He'll match your group with the right route, the right boats, and the right gear — and he'll tell you exactly where to find the otters, salmon, and quiet sand bars.

We run top-of-the-line Malibu Ocean sit-on-top kayaks for everyday paddling, and Jackson Cuda 12-foot fishing kayaks for the coastal anglers. Every rental comes outfitted with PFDs, paddles, dry bags, and the small things that make a trip great — sun hats, water shoes, and waterproof phone cases.
